Cheese Making

McIntosh and Bowman Cheesemongers now offer Cheese Making Workshops for aspiring cheese makers. Due to the success of our 2008 program we have several more dates planned for 2009.

These much anticipated experiences will take place on two separate days in October 2009.

Please note that the above dates are 2 separate dates for 2 separate groups.

We have engaged two talented cheese makers to work alongside cheese expert Claudia McIntosh to deliver an unparrelled cheese experience;

Giorgio Linguanti of Melbourne Based 'Thats Amore Cheese' and Clare Bailey of Hunter Belle Cheese in Huter Valley. They will lead us through traditional Itlalian cheese such as mozzarella and washed rind cheeses respectively.

Join McIntosh & Bowman as they bring farmhouse cheese making skills back to the forefront of people's attention and ability.

As all our experiences do, this course offered an excellent perspective on both the science and the art of cheesemaking.

Experiences will run for approx 7 hours and costs will include:

  • a full lunch as well as tea/coffee refreshments
  • and a cheese course
  • fresh milk
  • tasting notes and cheese making recipes

Tickets are on sale for $249 per person. Group discounts of 8 or more will be offered.
